Green coffee -- Determination of the proportion of coffee beans destroyed by insects
1 Scope of application:
this method describes the types of insects destroying green coffee beans, determines the proportion of a large number of green coffee insects destroying coffee beans, and statistically analyzes the experimental results for the purpose of technical and commercial units being joules (J) and arbitration
2. Principle summary:
check the outer surface of green coffee beans with the naked eye to identify the coffee beans damaged by insects
measure the proportion of coffee beans destroyed by insects, expressed as a percentage; If possible, identify the species of insects that caused the corresponding damage
measure from the proportion of coffee beans destroyed by insects
-- for a given probability, estimate the confidence of the actual proportion of coffee beans destroyed by insects to ensure the cleanliness in the oil circuit
- it is estimated that the actual proportion of coffee beans destroyed by insects will not exceed the probability of the given value
there are also components for installing load sensors on the beam and clamping test pieces
3 Main instruments and equipment:
magnifying glass (recommended, 5 times magnification, suitable for observing the surface of coffee beans), sample storage hopper (optional)

4.2 damage caused by insects
insects can cause many kinds of damage to green coffee beans. It is possible and useful to identify which kind of insects. The damage caused by H. hampei and a. fasciculatus is different, so different insect species can be identified
4.3 sample preparation
carefully mix laboratory samples. Choose at least 100 whole green coffee freely
